Calling out all your dreams: “Just Do It”

(Last Updated On: August 11, 2015)

If you live in the U.S. and have during the era of Nike’s slogan, “Just Do It,” then you’re familiar with how powerful those simple words can be. The iconic marketing slogan gives a push to someone sitting on the fence and asking questions like, should I pursue this other career path, should I select this program of study, should I go to this university, or bigger ticket decisions such as should I date or marry this particular person?

I wish I were creative enough to motivate you with eloquent words or inspire you as Nike did with an enduring slogan that has lasted through numerous mergers, acquisitions, economies, decisions, and so forth.  God, however, has from the beginning given us the same encouragement, inspiration, and motivation to pursue our passion and purpose in life with a promise to live a thriving and fulfilling lifestyle. He called us to live on purpose, not default. In fact He tells us in Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Only you know what that is tugging at your heart, but I simply want to remind you of Christ’s words, and, even perhaps, Nike’s slogan to “Just Do It.” You’re sure to find satisfaction when that “thing” is complete and you can relish in your accomplishment. At that point you’ll ask yourself, why did I wait so long?

Remember this article, but, more importantly, remember the passion in your heart to “Just Do It.” God bless you in your efforts to go forward!
