HOUSTON, Texas – Destiny Empowerment 2016 is the nation’s premiere conference that brings top tier, nationally lauded professionals together to share guidance and resources on how to break down barriers in order to breakthrough to a more successful future. This year’s theme is Destiny DECODED: Redefining How You Think.”
This year’s seminar brings back some of the nation’s top business and talent moguls for its second annual conference to be held Oct. 21-22 at The Lighthouse Church, 6650 Rankin Road in Humble, Texas.
The Destiny Empowerment Seminar was designed to complement today’s mobile and entrepreneur-centric employment trends nationwide. With more and more millennials seeking to work for themselves, this event is meant to both inform and inspire.
Panelists and speakers include Keion Henderson, pastor of The Lighthouse Church and CEO of Tax Solutions, TV Judge Glenda Hatchett, founder of The Hatchett Firm and star of “Judge Hatchett” and “The Verdict,” Alfred Edmond, Jr., senior vice president and chief content officer of Black Enterprise, Holton Buggs, multi-million dollar networker and entrepreneur and Daniel Jean Louis, CEO of Bridge Capital Investment Firm in Haiti.
The event kicks off with a morning session from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Oct. 21 followed by a red carpet from 6-7 p.m. and an evening session from 6-9 p.m. The following day of the event features seminars from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Recently added panelists include best-selling author, Tony Gaskins, Jr., fitness guru Nick Santonastasso and Rapper Bun B.
Gaskins, a motivational speaker, author and life coach has become one of the most sought after speakers in the U.S. with appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Tyra Banks Show and TBN’s 700 Club.
Nick Santonastasso, born with a rare genetic disorder that left him with no legs and an underdeveloped right arm, hasn’t stopped him from realizing his dream of becoming a bodybuilder and fitness model. He now uses his platform to encourage people to put their excuses aside and dare to do what they previously perceived as impossible.
Bun B rose to fame as part of the southern rap duo UGK. The now solo artist joined the faculty of Rice University in 2011 where he teaches in the School of Humanities on hip-hop and religion.
In addition to newly added keynote speakers and panelists, the conference’s workshop lineup also has been expanded to include workshops such as “Start Your Business from Scratch” and “Birth Your Book,” as well as workshops on leadership and goal setting.
