Twitter and Instagram are a buzz about the premiere of ROSEWOOD this fall season on FOX TV. Empower Magazine was literally front and center at the screening and introduction of Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr. played by Morris Chestnut a confident, flamboyant, self-absorbed, good looking, fitness driven, private forensic pathologist.
Chestnut was masterful in personalizing Dr. Rosewood with both lighthearted humor and professional decorum. His flair for living bigger than life itself was on full display from skyline billboards to his canary yellow GTO.
Owner of Magic City Labs, Inc., Dr. Rosewood uses his state-of-the-art technology and medically intuitive insight to uncover incriminating evidence that cannot be ignored by the Miami P.D. in solving seemingly unsolvable cases. Morris’ accompanying ROSEWOOD cast includes co-star Jania Lee Ortiz who plays the tough-as-nails UFC-equipped detective, Annalise Villa, Mama Rosewood played by Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis who portrays “Pippy,” Rosewood’s sister and toxicology expert working in his practice, DNA specialist Tara Izikoff played by Anna Konkle, and Miami P.D. Captain Ira Hornstock played by Domenick Lombardozzi.
ROSEWOOD by all appearances is a skillfully written mixture of NCIS and Miami Vice. I enjoyed it from start to finish and look forward to its premiere on FOX TV this Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. CST just before the second season of EMPIRE that premiers at 8 p.m. CST.
Only time will tell whether or not ROSEWOOD has lasting power, but if the theater packed screening in Houston, Texas is any indicator, EM is already betting on a second season in the making.
Don’t miss the premiere of the double-hitting star studded ROSEWOOD and EMPIRE every Wednesday night starting Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. CST.
