Haven’t planned your vacation and want to catch some of the best musical talent seaside? Then Carnival Cruise Lines may be just what the doctor (or cruise director) ordered.
A number of top musical artists are set to perform in the cruise line’s Carnival LIVE Concert Series.
Recording artist and Oscar-winning actress, Jennifer Hudson, of Dreamgirls’ fame, boarded the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Ecstasy from one of the ships’ scheduled ports-of-call on June 15 and 16, for two show-stopping 90-minute performances.
Carnival launched the Live Concerts series at the start of the year to offer cruise guests another incentive to book a cruise with the national cruise line.
This new entertainment option is described by Carnival as “one of the first of its kind” in the cruise ship industry.
“The Carnival LIVE Concert Series offers Carnival guests the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive on board performance by a diverse roster of popular music artists while ships are docked at select ports of call,” according to the Carnival website.
A number of national recording artists and/or groups have already graced the stages of eight of the cruise line’s ships, including Chicago, Kansas, Martina McBride, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon and STYX.
If you haven’t booked your cruise, you may still have a chance to enjoy upcoming performances of the following musical artists before the end of the year.
• Gavin DeGraw
• 38 Special
• REO Speedwagon
• Trace Adkins
• LeAnn Rimes
• Lady Antebellum
