Make-up and Beauty Trailblazer Makes International Connections

(Last Updated On: October 24, 2014)

Vera Moore, president and CEO of Vera Moore Cosmetics, not only has cosmetics and skincare products in 50-plus Walgreen’s upscale LOOKboutiques across the country, she has now gone international.

Through a pivotal alliance with the National Minority Business Council’s Global Entrepreneurship Center, Moore’s product line is now on the shelves of Byrone Harris’ Studio Ebony, the first full-service afro centric (unisex) hair studio in Shanghai, China.

Moore credits the NMBC’s Global Entrepreneurship Center for paving the way for her first international venture and commends the Council for its strength in matching buyers and sellers.

Her connection to the consumer market in China is expected to generate new demands for her beauty products overseas and also in foreign markets such as Africa, South America and Europe.

Moore believes in the importance of networking and developing strategic alliances and in addition to the NMBC, is affiliated with 100 Black Women, Bethel’s Place Black Chamber of Commerce, Caribbean Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Women Business Owners and Black Women Enterprises.
