T-Mobile Digits Going Live
T-Mobile recently announced that its new Digits service becomes available to all its customers starting May 31st. This major wireless network anticipates creating a major disruption with this new service in the telecommunications industry. Although Digits is somewhat similar to how Google’s Voice service works, T-Mobile boasts its long list of features will bring phone calls and texts into the 21st century.

Digits works on any compatible internet connected device you have with you. All Digits’ users can send text messages from their tablet or PC and have them appear as if they came from their phone. Every Digits’ service allows multiple numbers to be used with a single device, eliminating the need to carry multiple phones for personal and work needs. Digits is expected to be better suited for phones on the Android platform.

Microsoft’s New Surface Pro
Microsoft recently announced the fifth-generation Surface Pro at a hardware event in Shanghai, China. This device is released sixteen months after the Surface Pro 4. Microsoft rebranded the tagline from “tablet” to “the most versatile laptop”. The Surface Pro 5 was designed to take full advantage of the Windows 10 Creators Update and the latest Microsoft Office. Microsoft also launched a new generation of the Surface Pen. The new Surface Pen is a natural writing and drawing tool with increased sensitivity to 4,096 pressure levels, and tilt functionality added.

Facebook Getting Original Content
According to multiple sources, Facebook has signed deals with millennial-focused news and entertainment creators Vox Media, BuzzFeed, ATTN, Group Nine Media and others for original video content. Facebook will be putting the company in head-to-head competition with Alphabet Inc’s YouTube Red, Snapchat’s Discover feature, and traditional television networks.

Facebook is employing the strategy by Netflix and Amazon.com, to pay for ownership of scripted shows. The move enables Facebook to attract more advertising dollars. The social network giant Facebook is expected to delay its launch of made-for-Facebook original video content until the end of summer 2017.
