As the National Football League goes into week 10, the list of undefeated has been whittled down to three teams sporting an impressive 8-0 record. Not surprisingly, the New England Patriots top the short list. However, the remaining two teams by all accounts are a complete surprise.
Yet, EM Sports believes something has got to give and offers the following take on the NFL undefeated:
The 8-0 New England Patriots defeated their most recent opponent the Washington Redskins handily 27-10. Going into week 10, Tom Brady and the Patriots continue to lead the NFL in points-per-game. Brady threw for 2 more TD passes as he continues on his pace to break Peyton Manning’s total TD mark. The Patriots’ defense continues to show up for every game clearly establishing themselves among the very best in the NFL. It’s not hard to see why the Patriots remain the odds-on favorite to repeat as Superbowl Champs.
Next Three Weeks Line-up: Giants (5-4); Bills (4-4); Broncos (7-1).
The 8-0 Carolina Panthers continue to silence the naysayers by winning week-in and week-out. Cam Newton (a Top-tier Leader) continues to demonstrate to all who have eyes to see that he can stand in the pocket and deliver with the best. The Panthers’ stingy defense was up to the latest challenge of handling Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers offense. For the unbelievers, there is no denying the fact that Cam Newton and his Pathers’ impressive win over Green Bay proves that they are a force to be recounted with. Indeed, it might seem improbable that Carolina can keep winning the close ones, yet they continue to pull it off. And, based on their next three opponents, EM Sports sees Carolina on the road to 11-0.
Next Three Weeks Line-up: Titans (2-6); Redskins (4-4); Cowboys (2-6).
The 8-0 Cincinnati Bengals in their most recent outing dominated Johnny (Football) Manziel and the Browns in the second half to remain among the undefeated. The Bengals stiff defense himmed up Manziel late in the game and held Cleveland to zero points in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Cincinnati is definitely in the driver’s seat to remain perfect in the win column, but they will have to get past the NFC West Division leading St. Louis Cardinals. And, perhaps the seemingly resurgent defense of the Houston Texans coming off a bye week might have something to say about the Bengals undefeated run. Only time will tell.
Next Three Weeks Line-up: Texans (3-5); Cardinals (6-2); Rams (4-4).
