Houston-area author Micole Williams recently celebrated the release of her sophomore book, Toxic Ties Trilogy, the sequel to her dark, romantic satire, Tangled Web of True Love Tales. The Book Launch and Gallery Walk & Talk took place at Spring Street Studios on Jan. 17.
The “lit for life” Houstonian and independent filmmaker is proud to bring a southern story, a chilling tale which centers around one of the seven deadly women from her debut novel. In addition to the book launch, Williams detailed the behind the scenes journey of transforming her first book (TWOTLT) into a web series.
Just as armed and dangerous as her first book which explored the lives of seven women who represented the seven deadly sins and their quest to reverse their fatal flaws, every character is a suspect.
The author advises readers to proceed with caution as she takes them on a journey into the life of beauty diva, Deon Devaulle, who has it all: money, power, curves and technical difficulties in love. After one foolish night and one brutal fight, Devaulle crashes, and could lose it all. A chilling encounter with an unexpected visitor makes the diva-in-distress realize the root of her demise. Can she troubleshoot, reboot and learn to love in High-Definition…or will she sink in this toxic stew that has been brewing all of her life?
This is an uncensored Ballad of a Bad @$$ Bachelorette; proceed with caution, warns the author.
Both books are $15 and will be available at the event as well as online. To purchase a copy of these book, visit Amazon.com.
