RodeoHouston unveiled a new rotating concert stage and kicked off an all-star line-up of entertainers with Garth Brooks drawing a packed crowd of rodeo-goers to the opening night concert of the 2018 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The star-shaped technology-enhanced stage with five star points, designed and fabricated by TAIT, leading producer of live entertainment equipment worldwide, was designed to boost concert presentation and fan experience.

Each star point measures an arm length of 36 feet and a base of 23 feet and can be raised individually or jointly, lowered to the arena surface or raised to create an elevated performance position. The new 48 ft. in diameter round stage is eight feet wider than the previous performance stage enabling performers to be closer to the audience. Topping off the new design is a 22-foot-tall motion controlled LED backdrop video screen self-propelled with automated positioning system.

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy daytime rodeo activities and events and nightly concerts featuring a talented line-up of artists through closing night on Sunday, March 18 with Garth Brooks returning for a grand finale performance.
