Let’s celebrate this Memorial Day with an All-American classic grilled burger. What a great way to start the summer grilling season off than with something satisfying and grilled. I like to dress up some mayo and use as a sauce on burgers. You know I like it quick and easy, so these recipes are easy to add to your summer grilling roster. Serve with your favorite sides and a cold beer or refreshing drink.
Note: One other thing I enjoy is to mix equal parts softened butter and Parmesan cheese and spread it on the hamburger buns and heat on the grill or griddle face down to heat through.
2 lbs ground beef
2 tsp granulated onion powder
1 tsp granulated garlic powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper(optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all the ingredients together. Try not to overwork the meat and form into patties. Grill them to your taste. Garnish with your favorite things like cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon and avocado.
½ cup mayo
2 tbsp red onion, minced
1 large garlic clove
2 tbsp buttermilk
1 tbsp sriracha
2 tsp pickled jalapenos or (fresh for more heat)
1 tbsp fresh cilantro, minced
1 tsp lime juice
Black pepper to taste
Combine all the ingredients and refrigerate until ready to use. Note, if it is too hot for you add more mayo and lime juice.
