Beyoncé and Jay-Z will take over Houston’s NRG stadium on the Houston leg of their epic OTR II Tour this weekend – Sept. 15 and 16.
Having Beyoncé back in her hometown along with Jay-Z one year after Hurricane Harvey devastated the city gives fans an even greater reason to celebrate as many in the city are still in recovery mode.
In royal Beyoncé style, the Houston-born singer came to her hometown’s aid in the wake of Harvey, serving and meeting and greeting hurricane evacuees in addition to providing monetary support to help with recovery efforts.
Presented by Live Nation Global Touring in association with Parkwood Entertainment and Roc Nation, the OTR II tour has Bey-hive fans on high-alert as they await two epic concert performances from the couple this weekend.
The singer’s hometown was one of nine cities on OTR II European/North American tour stops to enjoy two days of performances from the dynamic duo, including London, UK, Amsterdam, NL, Paris, FR, Washington, DC, E. Rutherford, N.J., Chicago, Ill, Atlanta, Ga. and Los Angeles, Ca.
The OTR II tour kicked off on June 6 in Cardiff, UK and will conclude on Oct. 4 in Seattle, Washington.
In the summer of 2014, Beyoncé and JAY-Z performed six weeks of sold out stadium dates across North America with their highly anticipated ON THE RUN tour. The tour closed with two international dates in Paris, France that were filmed for an HBO special that received an Emmy nomination.
