The entire month of February we have saluted African-Americans that blazed the trail before us.  Whether those men and women were inventors, athletes, writers, activist or teachers they have all played an important role in shaping our culture and world that we live in today.

So on the last day of Black History Month we cannot forget the beautiful women and men in the fashion industry who has taught us that beauty is not skin deep and that it can come in all colors, shapes and sizes.  Finally we can believe that we are beautiful and can be on covers of recognized magazines and the leading women and men in feature films.  From fashion photographer, Gordon Parks, to supermodel, mogul and actress Tyra Banks, our faces are world renown and are credited for diversifying the fashion industry.

Check out these slides on how your favorite models, actors/actresses, designers, editors and fashion photographers influenced the style of previous eras and the style of today.
