Dance Fitness Party Houston launches this weekend

One of the most revolutionary dance fitness party movements to hit Houston invites individuals of all ages and fitness levels to join forces for a healthy cause.

Dance Fitness Party Houston celebrates the launch of a nationwide family fitness initiative at the prestigious George Foreman Youth and Community Center from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on March 5 at 2202 Lone Oak Road, Houston, Texas 77093.

Sponsored by the George Foreman Youth and Community Center, Chick-fil-A (Beltway 8/Bellaire and 59/West Airport), Empower Magazine, and many more; coordinators of the event aim to provide a fun environment to shape healthy bodies, healthy families and healthy lives.

Join forces with your family and friends and connect to do something positive and healthy.

Special guest hosts 95.7 FM, JaaJo Dance Cardio, The League, DJ Athenz and Full Metal will be on hand to crank up the energy and excitement to get hearts and bodies pumping followed by a series of high-intensity fitness training sessions led by Terry Williams from the League, Drexel Long and MDC Crew.

There will be something for everyone including a message of inspiration from former NFL Player turned speaker and poet, Jay Barnett, performances by Tobe Nwige, Full Metal and Live Out Loud Band as well as a high-energy performance by the SoundBox Studios Dancers.  The day will be filled  with a diverse mix of fitness demonstrations from yoga, Zumba and West African Dance to belly dance and hip hop rounding off with a Dance Your Pounds Off fitness session led by Dwight Holt.

This event aims to bring families together for a wholesome and interactive day of dance, exercise and family fun. Studies have shown that dance is more than a just a leisure activity but improves mood, boosts confidence and heals trauma.
