We can always count on the smoldering heat of summer to bring relaxing vacations, wild pool parties, memorable family gatherings and hot summer festivals.

Houston, if you did not make it to Coachella this year, then mark your calendar and make plans to attend the 7th annual Free Press Summer Festival at Eleanor Tinsley Park on June 6-7, 2015.

This year be prepared to indulge in hours of all genres of music with artists like R.Kelly, Lecrae, St. Vincent, Flume, Chance the Rapper and Weezer.  For all of the Houston rap fans, you can look forward to nostalgic memories and enjoying classic Houston rap tunes from the 90s and 00s while rapping along with the Welcome to Houston set, which features the city’s own rappers Slim Thug, Lil Keke, Lil Flip, Scarface, Bun-B, Paul Wall and more.

Fress Press Summer Festival not only celebrates the sound of music but the freedom of art as well.  With the two-day celebration held in downtown Houston, there is no doubt that the yearly festival is here to stay.
