Houston’s young tweens are uniting for a day that will impact, inspire and motivate them to learn the importance of being remembered rather than just being noticed with empowerment sessions by Skai Jackson, Karen Civil, Lyric Hurd & Roneshia Ray.

In a society where too much emphasis is placed on false perceptions and negative role models, Chicks With Class founder Margo Jordan-Baines is offering positive alternatives and creating self-awareness events for girls.  The latest event, a one of a kind Holiday Brunch Gala for girls, will take place at 11 a.m. on Dec. 3 at the Four-Star Luxury Omni Hotel located at 13210 Katy Freeway.

Chicks With Class is teaming up with Disney child star, 14-year-old, Skai Jackson, to create a life-changing event for every girl in attendance.  Skai gained over 2.5 million social media followers after her breakthrough role as Zuri Ross in Disney Channel’s sitcom Jessie, and is currently starring in the Disney channel series Bunk’d.  She continues to be a positive role model for girls, and encompasses a message promoting “Girl leadership.”

The brunch will spotlight tweens making an impact in today’s society and show recognition to a prominent “GIRL BOSS.”  Jordan-Baines is beaming with excitement about the impact the brunch will have on Houston’s girls. The day will be filled with workshops, networking opportunities, the signature beauty manis, brunch and more.

“We will teach girls and young ladies the importance of positive image and self-esteem”, said founder Margo Jordan- Baines.  “This will be an event every girl that attends will remember.”

Other celebrity headliners include Karen Civil, a public figure, philanthropist and author who has worked with Hilary Clinton helping to launch “African Americans for Hilary Clinton” and jumped at the opportunity to participate in this event.

“In addition to empowering women, it’s important to me to take the time to empower teens, as well, and teach them to always be themselves. I want them live up to their fullest potential, live in their purpose and to of course, always remain classy,” said Civil.

Lyric Hurd, a 7-year-old actress also will be a featured speaker at the holiday brunch.  Hurd is a model and dancer who has appeared in ads for Red Lobster, Macy’s and has starred alongside actresses such as Nia Long.  She recently appeared on CBS’s “Blue Bloods” and is a brand ambassador for Chicks With Class.

One mission of Chicks With Class is to partner with a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of girls. A percentage of all sale proceeds will be donated to a local charity.  To find out more about this event e-mail chickswithclass@gmail.com.
