Power Summit celebrates self-care – the superpower to save yourself

Deya Direct, Life Coach, award-winning author and founder of the “SuperPowHer Podcast” recently hosted the “Super Self-Care Power Summit: Fix, Align, Love & Leverage,” to celebrate the power of self-care during Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.  

This empowering day of self-awareness and health and wellness hosted over 100 women including TV & Radio Personality Claudia Jordan, Influencer Bree Clarke (Little House on Routh), physician Dr. Jessica Shepherd (as seen on GMA, & Dr. Oz), and therapist Elizabeth Carroll (as seen on We TV’s Marriage Boot Camp), and other experts. The panelists helped advance the effectiveness and tangibility of hope and healing.

The self-care event was designed to encourage attendees to face and fix what is hurting them, to get in alignment mentally, physically and emotionally, to embrace self-love, experience healthy relationships, and leverage essential tools for living better and loving stronger, according to Deya Direct, founder of the Super Self-Care Power Summit and the SuperpowHer Podcast.

It’s a safe place for women and men from all walks of life to gather, learn from one another’s experiences, and make life-changing decisions,” said Direct.

The life-changing panels and topics that took place throughout the day, included:

Man Down: Who Fixes Mr. Fix It?  – a session that revealed how men deal with their mental, spiritual, and health issues with Therapist Jay Barnett,  Radio host and comedian, Michael Shawn,  The Business Bully, Dave Anderson, and marriage counselor, Steve Johnson.

Family on Fire was peppered with experts who shared their testimonies on family dynamics including Elizabeth Carroll (Marriage Boot Camp), Kim O. (Action with Compassion),  Lalanii Wilson-Jones Altruist Home Healthcare, and Alicia Johnson (Longevity Relationship Counseling).

Dr. Tiffany Jones, (Dallas IVF), Cheryl Roseborough, (Self-Esteem Elevated), Tori Dixon, (Graceful Journey Counseling) and Anita Hawkins, (Find One Reason to Smile) took part on a panel called The Fall Season to help attendees who feel stuck in a rut, frustrated, and/or unfulfilled.

During the The Happiest Hour, panelists Dr. Jessica Shepherd, (Baylor Scott & White), Lillian Kemp – Moet & Hennessey, Paul Ritter – Heart, Mind & Body,  and Sexologist Candace Jackson. discussed how to tap into the superpowers of love, sex, peace, health and happiness from the inside out. 

Lastly, a panel on Social Media & Self-Care addressed how to leverage social media and avoid becoming overwhelmed or anxious, led by social and media-savvy sistas:  TV & Radio Personality Claudia Jordan , Marketing Expert Arisha Smith,  Bree Clarke, (The Iman Project), and Health & Wellness Guru Donna Richardson.

The “Super Self-Care Power Summit: Super Fix, Align, Love & Leverage” provided the ultimate self-care experience for attendees, including: engaging panel conversations with mental health and wellness experts from across the country, interactive mindfulness workshops, life and business coaching sessions, mini massages, music, food, drinks, and more.

Attendees also enjoyed selfie booths, vendor products, and interactive icebreakers to kick start self-care rituals and routines.
