Empower Magazine rounds out Women’s History Month with a special tribute to Vera Moore, CEO of Vera Moore Cosmetics in celebration of the launch of her newest venture.
Vera Moore has blazed trails on television, Broadway and as an enterprising entrepreneur, and has now launched a new talk show, The Vera Moore Show.
“Being a pathfinder and trailer blazer is not an easy task, however, someone has to continue to do it,” Moore said.
As CEO of Vera Moore Cosmetics, a growing beauty empire with products featured in Walgreen’s stores across the country, Moore has enjoyed a diverse career path including roles on soap operas and Broadway and enjoys sharing insights from her journey with others.
“I was the first black vendor in the Walgreens/Duane Reade Look Boutique,” shared Moore. “To be clear, I’m not trying to impress but make an impact. Empowerment is in my DNA.
Moore has joined forces with a powerhouse team of co-hosts, including PR strategist and author, Dee Rivera, digital marketing guru, Donyshia Boston Hill CEO of Keeper of the Brand; lead publicist, Sharon Devonish; and motivational speaker and author, Dr. Stacie NC Grant.
“It takes a team to be successful. My co-hosts are successful businesswomen who are eager to collaborate and share their time and talents,” said Moore.
The New York native is pinching herself as she begins her new venture. “I am extremely excited about this new opportunity to impact the lives of fellow entrepreneurs and others in the community of business, economic empowerment and controlling their destinies,” said Moore
Viewers who tune in to the show will gain insights on entrepreneurship, the tools and methodologies for success and strategic alliances and partnerships to succeed in a very competitive market place.
“We will also have entertainment, lots of fun and fashion … and a little drama too,” adds Moore.
With a previous talk show under her belt, The Moore Power Show, Moore describes her new show as a “rebranding of the initial concept” taken to another level to reach a broader audience.
“My mission has always been to break glass ceilings, be a positive-influencer, hopefully resulting in a mindset change, physically, or spiritually,” shared Moore, who describes her faith as “the driving force” that has fueled her journey.
It is a journey that she is still on as she seeks to continue to inspire and empower others by example, mentoring and sponsorship.
A widely sought-after speaker, Moore recently was a guest speaker at GOOGLE where she shared her journey. “I was amazed at how many young men came up to me and said ‘you inspired me to go for it. I was afraid but now I’m not.’ ”
The former actress turned beauty pioneer, also was a featured panelist at Hip Hop, Economics and Your Legacy, an event designed to educate the community on how to invest your money, create a business and discover the importance of your financial legacy.
“Whether it is entrepreneurship, business, personal, etc. there is always someone that needs to hear “you can do this” no matter the circumstances,” said Moore.
The New York-based show is featured on Verizon, Spectrum and fios.
