Childish Gambino made one for the record books at Sunday night’s 61st Grammy Awards in Los Angeles becoming the first hip hop artist to take home a Grammy for song of the year for This Is America.

The artist, not present to receive his historic award, also took home Grammy’s for record of the year, music video and rap/sung performance.

This Is America beat out other Song of the Year nominees, All The Stars, Boo’d Up, God’s Plan, In My Blood, The Joke, The Middle and Shallow.

The awards ceremony, hosted by Alicia Keys, was a big night for female artists, including Kacey Musgraves who won album of the year for “Golden Hour”, Cardi B who took home the Grammy for best rap album as a solo artist for Invasion of Privacy and Lady Gaga who scored a Grammy win for best pop solo performance for Shallow from A Star Is Born.

On the heels of their Grammy wins, Musgraves and Cardi B will perform at the upcoming Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in Houston with Musgraves kicking off the concert line up with a opening night performance on Feb. 25 and Cardi B making her Black Heritage Night rodeo concert debut on March 1.
