An avid golfer, I found myself torn between NFL Sunday games and the PGA TOUR Championship. While Jordan Spieth (USA) and Henrik Stenson (Sweden) battled it out for 1st place and 10 Million dollars in Atlanta, GA, I couldn’t help but switch channels to watch the Houston Texans battling against Tampa Bay for their first win of the season. And once Houston had notched a “W” at NRG stadium, it became all about golf.

I must admit that I had my doubts about Jordan being able to pull off the “Spieth Golfing Magic” like he did in winning four times this year including two major championships. However, with each passing hole in today’s final round of play, it was obvious to everyone watching that Jordan had gotten his putting mojo back. Coming down the stretch on the back nine, Spieth’s putter was on fire. The putting clinic Jordan put on earned him the FedEx Cup and Tour Championship Trophies finishing with a 9-under par; 4 strokes ahead of the next best finishers.

The Championship win also placed Spieth as number one in FedEx points earning him a bonus $10 Million, and a return to the coveted number 1 PGA golfer in the world.

Jordan Spieth’s golfing accomplishments this year have been nothing short of amazing, and he is only 22 years old. WOW! In case you have not been keeping up with this Dallas, Texas golfing phenom, here are a few highlights from his record setting resume.

  1. $12 Million in 2015 tournament winnings ($1 Million more than the previous record holder; Vijay Singh).
  2. #22 Million in 2015 total winnings (Includes $10 Million in FedEx Bonus prize money).
  3. $31 Million in his very short PGA career (a PGA record based on his age).
  4. With his 5 Tournament wins this year, he is the youngest player to do so since 1929.
  5. Youngest player to win the FedEx Cup and TOUR Championship.
  6. Youngest player in 93 years to win two major Championships.
  7. Only PGA player to win the Masters and Tour Championship in the same year.

Not since Tiger Woods have we been blessed with someone talented enough to set the golfing world on fire by setting records early in their career. So, I would be remiss in the midst of Jordan fever, if I did not share some amazing “Tiger” golfing stats with you.
