Micole Williams’ Documentary Receives FIFF Selection

Micole Williams’ documentary “How Do You Hear God?” has been named an Official Selection at the Fountain International Film Festival (FIFF), an international film showcase dedicated to presenting and celebrating films that project the Gospel of Christ.

“How Do You Hear God?” explores the deeply personal and spiritual question of how individuals discern and recognize the voice of God in their lives. Through compelling storytelling and faith-centered reflection, the documentary invites audiences into meaningful conversations about spiritual awareness, obedience, and the many ways believers experience divine guidance.

The Fountain International Film Festival is inspired by the Holy Spirit and built on the Word of the Lord found in John 7:37–38. The festival seeks to utilize cinema as a powerful tool to cultivate an atmosphere of faith in Christ Jesus among festival guests, encouraging audiences to embrace God’s purpose for the world. The festival also amplifies the voices of emerging Kingdom filmmakers from Nigeria and across the globe by creating sustainable opportunities and platforms where creatives can network, develop their skills, and receive incentives that foster growth in faith-based storytelling.

The selection adds to a growing list of recognitions for Williams’ work as a filmmaker. “How Do You Hear God?” has previously received honors including the Authenticity in Cinema Award at the African American Women in Cinema Film Festival, Best Feature at the Alpine International Film Festival, the Jury Prize in Sector Films at the Power 24 International Film Festival, the Villager Award at the Long Beach Indie International Film Festival, and an Honorable Mention at the Black Indie Film Festival Houston.

Williams has also received recognition for her autobiographical documentary “365 Days in LA,” which chronicles her journey pursuing opportunities in the entertainment industry while living in Los Angeles. The film earned Best Documentary at the TICFY Film Festival, Best Web Series Pilot at the Beyond Hollywood International Film Festival, and an Honorable Mention at Cannes Shorts. The project went on to screen at more than ten international film festivals and later aired on Aspire TV.

With a growing portfolio of faith-centered and inspirational storytelling, Williams continues to use film as a platform to explore purpose, perseverance, and spiritual connection. The recognition from the Fountain International Film Festival further highlights the global reach of her work and the impact of filmmakers who are committed to sharing stories that uplift and inspire.
