Houston Ross Shaw Sterling to host 60th Anniversary Soiree

Houston, Texas – Houston Ross Shaw Sterling High School proudly announces its 60^th Anniversary. “Shining like A Diamond Soiree & Documentary Series,” honoring Family, Community and Education this momentous celebration honoring six decades of academic excellence. Crestmont Park Civic Alliance and the 71/72/76/77 Super Neighborhoods are fostering community development and resilience of South Park/ Sunnyside people. This positive movement commences on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9 PM at the Wyndham NRG.

This positive movement will initially salute Houston Sterling High School; South Park/Sunnyside’s rich history while recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of its residence. This evening will be full of exciting theatrics, featuring a special awards and gratitude ceremony to give homage to outstanding celebrity alumni; city dignitaries; community leaders and our deserving citizens. Attendees can expect an evening of live entertainment, inspiring commentary, and inspirational visuals of the communities’ legacy. Come be the best part of ‘Telling Your Story-Your Way.’ Archiving history from the local people that are making history.

Highlights and conversations at this anniversary celebration will launch the documentary series, showcasing Sterling’s Stories & South Park/ Sunnyside Stories. A Legacy of Achievements and Exhibits from the community’s impact that empowers the unique spirit of the South Park/ Sunnyside people. Which is a testament to the dedication of our students, faculty, alumni, with the unwavering support of the residents. This milestone will host celebrities; dignitaries, Leaders; notables and future icons to be showcased ongoing with this milestone. Launching the first documentary series that will preserve our legacy for generations to come.
