Lacy Entertainment will host a Meet & Greet and Book Signing with author Darrin Henson at 7 p.m., on Friday, May 17, at 10900 Gulf Freeway, Houston, Texas 77034.
The fun-filled evening will also feature swingout music to allow attendees to dance the night away.
Henson is an American choreographer, author, dancer, actor, director, and producer and recognized for playing one of the lead characters in Soul Food in which the series won the NAACP Best Drama four times.
He has completed over 30 films in the last 15 years. He is primarily known for his hit roles in films such as Stomp the Yard (Grant), The Express (Jim Brown), Black Coffee (Robert), Tekken (Raven) and Netflix’s Black Bear (Cowboy). In 2020, Henson was Nominated for the coveted international AMAA AWARD in Africa for his role in a South African film, Zulu Wedding.
Henson is also recognized for his choreography with artists such as Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jackson, Prince, and was the recipient of the MTV award for his choreography on NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye.”
He will be available to sign his latest book during a special book signing from 9 p.m. – 10 p.m., followed by a special Steppers/Swingers Dance Contest judged by celebrity judge Dorian Paul from 10 p.m. – 12 a.m.
